Every soul that makes a contract must come through this place. Those are the rules, and have been for many, many years. In this house, the devils rule over the desperate, preparing them for their trip downstairs. The souls of the wicked and the damned are devoured, and those that try, may earn their chances for redemption. But this house changes people. Will it change you?
Has there ever been anything you've wanted, that was worth selling your soul for? Have you ever been so desperate for a change in your life, that you made a deal with a devil? Sure, most people think that it's just an expression. No one would actually do it. No one would even know how, right? They are wrong. The devils walk among us, striking deals when people are their weakest and most vulnerable. A contract must be formed, and the debt must eventually be paid. So what happens when your time is up?

I will walk through the fog as I welcome death
☙ Master Kassian ❧
It wasn't like he didn't expect the higher fallen to eventually switch their positions and then start inflicting wounds on himself, the claws crushing his windpipe, and no doubt making a bloody mess, caused him to writhe and struggle for air. Yet despite that he continued to do his best and go on the defense against the fallen King, pain washing all over him as his stomach was then torn into as well. However, just before anything more could happen the glint of steel crossed his vision. His eyes traced the blade as it pressed against the higher fallen's throat, preventing him from inflicting any further punishment on him.
It wasn't like he could readily speak at the moment, due to his throat being, well, damaged currently, and so all he could do was continue to try and breathe as he listened to the Lord that had come to prevent the mess that was about to transpire. His eyes moved to look up at the Lord there, taking note of the tip of the katana resting against his own throat. He managed a small nod of acknowledgement to the Lord from his words, waiting for the sword to move away from his throat before he slowly shifted to kneel before the Lord of the house.
He placed a hand against the ground and draped an arm over his raised knee, his head hanging low in respect for the more dominant male in the room. Yeah, he knew he fucked up with that little act of his. And he wouldn't deny it. He'd take it in stride and move on. However at the moment he remained as he was, doing his best to ignore his own wounds for the time being as he awaited whatever would come from the Lord currently present, whether it be a dismissal or something else entirely. As for his servant, he knew he'd have quite a mess to clean anyway, not to mention having him take a look at his own wounds too.
[attr="class","aruaru"]The lord himself seemed to handle the situation with grace, though herpahps he should have come down harder on both of them, but that wasn't entirely up to Kyrios to decide. He was mostly just there to act the part, to carry out everything that his own Master had wanted him to. "Stand." There was no point in the two of them bleeding all over the carpet, though he cleaned it very easily with a single wave of his hand. Or perhaps the true Lord had just found some way to replace the carpet entirely. He supposed he would never truly know how exactly the house worked. Healing the two of them was just as easy for him, as he tapped each of them on the forehead before walking over to Kaelis and doing the same to him. The servant was rather stunned for the moment, but after his own forehead was tapped, he fell to the ground in his normal grovelling position, begging for forgiveness. The lord simply shook his head and ignored it, turning back to the two supposed noble fallen angels.
"The two of you both will have your privileges removed for the time being. You will be treated just as everyone else. There will be no rank, and none of your servants, other than the few that are marked, will be treated with any special privileges either." He supposed that was probably a fair punishment, though he wondered if perhaps it was a bit much. At least as far as Belial was concerned. Besides, he figured that perhaps Kassian had been punished enough.
"To hell with this, I'll just go home til this stupid ban is lifted." Belial muttered before crossing his arms over his chest. He did definitely seem to be pouting about it. Then again, he had far more privileges than Kassian did. And he would definitely miss them.
"If that is what you wish, then feel free to do so." It wasn't like he really cared what the fallen king decided to do with his spare time anyways. It was only a matter of seconds before Belial was gone from the house and back in his place in Abbadon. Kyrios sighed and returned the blade to its sheath on his belt. "As for you, I would avoid Abbadon if possible for the time being, lest Belial make your journey.. Well.. Hell.." A small joke, and probably not a very good one. "But I can have whatever you may need imported to the house if need be."

The noble fallen was silent as he remained kneeling until he was ordered to stand, which he did without complaint or anything else. He said nothing but dipped his head in a respectful acknowledgement when he felt his forehead being tapped, feeling himself being healed of the wounds that had been inflicted upon him by Belial. Still he chose to hold his tongue as he placed an arm behind his back as he listened to their punishment from the Lord. The very thought of his own privileges being withdrawn had caused Kassian to clench his teeth, yet he still said nothing as he knew he was in more than enough trouble and being punished like this...well it wasn't something he expected for he did expect the worse.
He refused to even glance towards Belial as he spoke about this punishment of theirs, simply keeping his eyes on the Lord before them. Though once the fallen King left the noble fallen seemed to relax slightly, apparently having been tense while the fallen King was still in the same proximity as himself. He turned his full attention onto the Lord as he spoke, suggesting he stay out of Abbadon lest his journey would be made hell by Belial. A soft sigh escaped Kassian, whether that was a light breath of amusement or not was really up to those who were listening, and he shook his head a little. Though the offer to import the items he needed was helpful...
Kassian glanced towards the table where his work was currently, quiet for a few moments before he returned his attention back over to the man before him. "That would be helpful, thank you." He spoke up finally, pausing as he glanced towards the general direction of where his servant was, thinking for a few moments before his eyes moved back over to the higher being before him. "I gave him specific instructions to not even wait for an answer for that wh-- for Belial. Any punishment that he should face should be given to me for I commanded such an order. I know, not the words that a fallen Master would say, but..." He trailed off as he glanced down with a small shrug. He knew he was different, especially by how he treated his servants compared to the other Masters in the house. "I will face the punishments accordingly, so long as I may be allowed to continue my work."
[attr="class","aruaru"]His calm blue eyes simply watched the fallen as he spoke, a blank look on his face as per usual. After all, being expressionless was what he was best at it seemed. Then again, it was often fairly difficult to have emotions or expressions at all when being completely controlled by another being. Still, when the other male mentioned taking the punishment in place of his servant, he simply shook his head. As far as he was concerned, no further punishment was needed for any of them. "I see no reason for you not to continue your work. As for your servant, he was simply carrying out orders. It was how you responded to the punishment given him that was the problem. Yes, he is marked by you, which means that no one may touch him or command him as their own, but should he be disrespectful to those higher than you, he is right to be punished by them, however they see fit. However, the return that Belial inflicted was more than enough to teach you that lesson. Your privileges being temporarily revoked, simply gives you both a sense of humility that neither of you will particularly learn."
He moved away towards Kaelis again, crouching down beside the groveling servant. "As for you, your mark remains, but you wish not to be treated like the rest, why?" It was merely a point of curiosity. Most servants were more than thrilled to finally get claimed by a master as their own personal Doll. And yet this one was fairly distraught by it, almost ashamed of it. He truly did not want the position, and that was something that the true lord wished to understand.
"I... I am much better as.. As a s-servant, Master.." Kaelis mentioned quietly, still speaking to the floor. How interesting that was.
But it was apparently a good enough answer, as the lord stood back up and moved away from him and over to the table to investigate the scrolls and books that were piled there, along with extensive notes of whatever it was that the fallen noble had been working on. "What of this?" It wasn't as if he personally recognized anything that was written there, as he personally did not read or understand any of the languages present, but the ever-watching eyes in his head did, and he, for whatever reason, was rather intrigued by the work that was being done by the fallen. "Who has ordered your work of this?"

Kassian dipped his head in response to the being who still lingered here, saying nothing furthr on punishment and whatnot. He kept a careful eye on him, however, as the man eventually turned his attention to his work. At the questions, the fallen noble made his way over to the table and scanned his eyes over the amount of work he had accomplished thus far. He was quiet for a few moments as he then reached a hand out to pick up some of his notes, briefly skimming them before he set them carefully back where he had gotten them. "I've been working on this...research for a few days now. I've been collecting information on certain places in Abbadon as well as the Mirror Realm among other things such as...open doorways so to speak." He explained as he paused for a moment to lean down and grab his pen as something caught his eye and was quick to add on to his extensive notes.
Once that was done he straightened up and moved to another side of the table, picking up a scroll and unrolling it as he began to read it. "As for who ordered this," he mentioned without glancing over to the being for he was, of course, beginning to get lost in his work once more. "I know not of the name of the being who had ordered, no requested, this." He finally pried himself away from his work to reach into his pocket, using magic to bring forth a gem that was imbued with magic; as well as not being found in even uncommon areas of Abbadon, if it was even originated in such a place. "However I was given this as payment," he set the gem on an unfurled piece of parchment. "I would not think this work, or any that would be conducted, would hold such interest in one such as yourself. May I inquire as to what had caught your attention?"
[attr="class","aruaru"]Other doorways? To other realms? That seemed a little higher than this particular fallen's pay grade, and definitely not something ordered by a fallen king. Perhaps an angel, but more likely... One of his hands reached out and took the gem, only to examine it, and then placed it back before the other male after having looked it over extensively. He had seen gems like that before, and he was quite glad that this... Meat puppet for lack of better words, was the one handling such a thing. It was definitely from a realm not here. But to be looking into gateways into Abbadon or the Mirror Realm... Now that was something...
"You say you know not who gave you this assignment, how did you come across it then? You have gotten paid quite handsomely, so surely it must have come from somewhere." Now he was edgy, not that he let it show, still, he was nervous nonetheless. If gods were starting to look for ways in, then it was only a matter of time before his little home was destroyed, more than likely taking him with it. But perhaps he could use this information as well. Perhaps he would be able to find ways to get more research into this, to possibly make a doorway himself. He had known how a long time ago, but he was getting rusty in his old age.

The fallen male watched as the other being took the gem and examined it before it was set back down. At the words from the man, Kassian tilted his head to the side slightly. Surely it had to have come from somewhere, and to be paid as handsomely as he had been... He shook his head and grabbed the gem before he put it back where he had gotten it. "It was delivered to me via a servant with a letter to go along with it. You may try to seek out the servant but even I had not seen that servant before, then again that servant might just be one of many here." He paused for a moment before lifting a hand to rub his jaw, thinking for a few moments.
"Kaelis, come here." He spoke, gesturing for his servant to come forward. "Do you know what all happens to the servants? Has there been anything out of place per the usual?" He questioned him, dropping his hand to his hip as he scanned his eyes over his servant's face. He then turned his attention back over to the Lord once more, studying him for a few moments. "I do not accept tasks without a hint of caution, but to be paid as such..." He shook his head and then crossed his arms loosely. "I couldn't just refuse it. Especially since whoever wants such information is willing to seek me out to gain it. It is quite an intriguing situation."
[attr="class","aruaru"]The lord let his eyes travel to the servant as he was spoken to, but Kaelis shook his head. "I do not know much of the others coming and going around the house." Well, he was telling the truth, despite the fact that he was quite observant, it was fairly easy to lose sight of other servants, especially if they were owned like he was. "But I can try to hunt them down if you wish."
Kyrios stood there for a moment before shaking his head. "That will not be necessary. I will do my own investigation into the matter." He paused again for a moment before looking over to the fallen noble. "As for you, continue your research, but please run anything that you may find by me." Again he had paused, going to walk off, but then he stopped, looking back at him again. "How are you supposed to turn the research in? The servant again? Or are you supposed to leave it somewhere?"

Kassian was quiet as he listened to both his servant and the Lord that was present, dipping his head in acknowledgement to his words. He was about to get back to work when his attention was captured once more by the male, questioning him on how he'd turn in his research. He was quiet for a few moments, thinking of an answer for that before he shook his head a little. "I have yet to receive instructions for that. All I was told was to compile plenty of research within a few days before I'd be contacted again." He responded, a small frown tugging at the corners of his lips slightly.
After a few moments he turned his attention towards Kaelis, picking up a book this time as he opened it. "Fetch me that crude map of Abbadon for me, will you?" He requested, gesturing towards a section of the library as he set his eyes on the book and ran his fingers down along the side of the page. "I must request this though... I was instructed to go and search for a location of one of the doorways. Bring back some samples, however I might accomplish that, once I find the location. If by any chance I may still be able to leave to do such, might I request that Cerberus to accompany me for a better chance of success?"

The lord just turned around and left the library, having many other things to do now. He had simply nodded upon the request that he had received before leaving. Kaelis just stood nearby and shivered a bit. He wondered why that person always gave him the shivers. Probably because he was higher or something. Still, he had done everything that his master had asked him. After the lord had left, Kaelis moved to look at the map on the table. "Master... I do not think that... I.." But it wasn't his place to really say anything about it was it? "I.. I am not sure that Cerberus will be enough..."

Kassian turned his attention over to his servant as he spoke up, pausing in what he was doing to listen to him. A slight smirk crossed his features as he approached his servant and lifted a free hand, brushing some of his servant's hair out of the way. "Oh? You think Cerberus will not be enough for me? Please, tell me why. Enlighten me with your opinion on this. Honestly." He told him, turning away to go back to his work as he continued to pay attention to the servant while he continued to get what he needed done. "Ah, after you're done I want some chocolate. I'd rather keep everything regulated without worry while I work." He mentioned as he glanced up towards his servant once more. "Lay out that crude map, will you? I need to mark things down."

At first, he thought perhaps his master was being utterly sarcastic about it, so he stayed silent for a time. But if his master was actually serious about his opinion, he shouldn't just stay silent about it. "I just think that... Well.. Cerberus is... Unreliable.. Is.. All.." Then again, he had never actually seen the guardian of the gates do anything other than eat sweets and lounge around all day, assuming he wasn't bouncing off the walls in some sort of giddy hyperactivity. The fallen noble went on to ask him to lay out a map, which he did rather willingly, trying to flatten the paper as best as he could, putting books on the edges to keep it in place. Kaelis bowed a bit before stepping back to let his master work for the time being. "I shall go retrieve you some chocolate then."
The servant excused himself and made his way towards the kitchen to gather some snacks for his master. He hoped that perhaps the noble male would eat something healthy as well, and decided to make him some sort of tray of various cheeses, meats, fruits, and crackers, as well as a few different types of dark chocolates, before he brought the tray back to his master, who was once more rather buried in his work. He set the tray down on the table, sort of off to the side so it wouldn't be in the way. "Is there anything else you require of me, Master?"

Once the map was laid out, Kassian took to work on marking a few things down on another parchment on possible places. With yet another blank piece of paper, he laid it over a section of the map and began to trace it carefully, keeping the sound of the crackling flames in the back of his mind as he worked. When his servant had come back with food, well more than what he had requested, he glanced over to Kaelis and then to where he had set the food before he returned his attention back to his makeshift map. He was silent as his servant spoke, marking a few things down before he finally looked towards his servant once more. "You brought more than expected..." He mentioned, looking at the plate before he moved over to it and decided to pick up a piece of meat and cheese. He slipped them into his mouth and ate them quietly as he beckoned his servant to come over, picking up a cracker.
As soon as his servant had approached, he turned and pressed the cracker against his lips. "I need you to go find Cerberus for me and fetch him. I wish to ask him about a few things in the section I must investigate." He told him, not removing the cracker from his servant's lips until he ate it. After that he turned his attention back to the makeshift map he was working on, writing down notes off to the side and labeling things accordingly.

Kaelis bowed politely as it was mentioned that he had brought way more food than was asked. "Of course. You need the nutrition." He straightened up and watched as his master ate bits of the food that he had brought him before summoning him over. He wondered what he could possibly want now, maybe something with the map. So of course, he went over to his side just as his master had wanted. "Yes?" Though he made a noise of confusion as the cracker was placed to his lips, just blinking in some semi-form of shock. Eventually he did eat the cracker, and just nodded a little bit. As much as he didn't want to fetch Cerberus, he supposed he could. He couldn't let his own distaste for the demon dog get in the way of following his orders.
Of course he went off to go and find the aforementioned pup. Cerberus was just lounging around in the living room, eating some sort of sugary something and chatting away with some of the more patient servants. Then again, to some people, Cerberus was a complete joy to be around. "Cerberus? Might I ask a favor of you?" Of course he greeted the other male with a polite bow as he usually did.
"Hmm? Alrighty. What's up?" Cerberus sat up and looked towards the other male, tilting his head to the side a bit. He never got requests from other servants before really.
"My Master wishes for your assistance in the library." Kaelis mentioned, to which the guardian of the underworld jumped up, stretched, and then grabbed ahold of Kaelis's hand before dashing off towards the library. Of course the servant was somewhat confused, as he did not really like to be touched all that much, especially not by people that he didn't like.
Once they arrived at the library, Cerberus finally let him go and bounded over to the table, bending over it, putting his elbows on it and propping himself up on them, a fluffy tail popping up and wagging behind him. "How might I be of service, hmm?"

Kassian had continued his work after Kaelis had departed the library to go fetch Cerberus, occasionally pausing his work to eat something before continuing. Eventually his servant had come back with the demonic dog, his eyes glancing over to Cerberus when he propped himself up against the edge. He took note of how happy the being seemed to be and gestured towards the plate of snacks. "Have some if you wish," he mentioned before returning his eyes over to the map he was currently working on. He tapped a finger against the table before he pulled the makeshift map away and turned the actual map around to show Cerberus it.
"I have a couple of requests for you. First, I would like you to accompany me to Abbadon so that I may continue some research I am currently working on. I believe you would have the best knowledge, as well as capabilities, for venturing into such a place which then brings me to the next thing." He spoke, pointing out the area he'd be investigating. "I need some insight on this area. Anything will help. What can be expected, any tricky spots, and so on." He turned his eyes onto Cerberus once more, observing him for a few moments.
"I would also appreciate your opinion on this trip should you agree to accompany me." Kassian added as he soon returned to his note taking and adding on to his makeshift map. After all, he needed to get it all done as well as remain knowledgeable if he were to continue this research of his.
